The main visual identity concept of the new Iranshahr terminal within the Imam Khomeini Airport City is forming of an envelope above airport architecture which is the result of flows of passengers and goods. Our design concept of the envelope is the creation of gardens (Iranian gardens) at the departure level and on the higher floors such as the hotel level. These Iranian gardens represent a “green oasis” within the Iranian desert (at the monday video meeting you mentioned this idea). In addition to the strong visual impact of Iranian gardens, we believe that these “oases” within the envelope would also have another important role: the supporting element of the entire roof of the terminal building.
