In the contemporary sense of urban area design, moving through the town street network is a manifestation of each individual`s freedom. That attitude results in a need for a list of amenities and processes derived from the necessities and wishes of inhabitants, therefore, squares and public areas have an important role in city life.

The project scope comprised from abutting squares- Pino Budicin Coast, Maršal Tito Square, Giovanni Pignatone Square and Bridge Square, is by far the most frequent town public area, with various urban processes and events in Rovinj city life, generating an urban axis with public facilities.

These areas as constituting elements in town life, participate in the shaping of its urban image, idea and identity. Every era leaves a mark that needs to be presented and formed according to the time we live in, emphasizing the best architectural/ historical qualities.

The basis of ambiences creation lies in the complexity and originality of the built environment inspired with historicity.

The project design tried to give a clear strategy and programme in solving the shortage of accessible and fitted public space that was noticed in the project scope areas.

The zone should become one of the most attractive and most representative town areas, thanks to the transformability of the main town square, green oasis on Pignaton Square and urbanized Pino Budicin Coast, followed by a series of commercial, hospitality and other facilities.
